Stevie Wonder and Berry Gord signed Stevie Wonder's offer for more autonomy and complete creative control and the rights to all his songs. Stevie Wonder signed a contract worth thirteen million dollars with MoTown Records in 1972. This entitles Stevie Wonder to a higher royalty and greater creative control and rights to his own tracks, which few artists had gotten in that period. The deal allowed Wonder's tracks to speak about controversial topics like war, poverty, drugs, and politics.Stevie is well-known for his songs about politics, including You Haven't Done Nothing which took a political stab at Richard Nixon. The first album that he made available under the new arrangement with MoTown was, Music Of My Mind in 1972. In late 1972 Stevie Wonder released an album which today is known as a historic piece in music, called Talking Book. It included Superstition as the most popular track.
